Ouidah, Benin: visit to the temple of the pythons
[ Images: a visit to the python temple in Ouidah, Benin. Sort of a tourist trap, but a beautiful one, and also a legitimate center of voudun worship, from what I'm told. I love the second shot. Also, it is very cool to see you doing all this.
In 1979, my parents were visiting West-Africa. They stopped in this village and it's how, before it is scientifically possible, my mother discovered she was pregnant of a little boy: la "Dame aux serpents" has been able to find out reading in my mother's hand...
